Who Should Complete the Level 2 NVQ in Liquid Applied Roofing?
The NVQ Level 2 in Liquid Applied Roofing is designed for any person who is currently working in liquid applied roofing and requires a nationally recognised qualification in this occupation. The NVQ Level 2 is also for those looking to gain their CSCS Blue Skilled Card.
Course Overview – All UNITS ARE MANDATORY
- A/503/1170 – Conforming to General Health, Safety & Welfare in the Workplace.
- J/503/1169 – Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace.
- F/503/1171 – Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace.
- M/651/4421 – Prepare Surfaces for Membrane Roofing Systems in the Workplace.
- A/651/4425 – Apply Liquid Membrane Systems in the Workplace.
- R/651/4422 – Repairing Membrane Roofing Systems in the Workplace.
Method of Assessment
The Level 2 NVQ IS assessed via uploading VIDEO evidence to YOUR E-portfolio
- Distance assessment is quick, it’s user-friendly, and all you need is a mobile phone or a PC to upload your video evidence.
- With the ongoing support and guidance from our roofing assessor, upload videos of you completing relevant roofing tasks.
- You will meet your assessor via Teams or a similar platform for a professional discussion on roofing-related activities.
- Submit ID for your qualification registration via your E-portfolio.
- Know exactly what you have achieved so far and what evidence you still need to supply.
- Feedback from your online assessor is available during working hours.
- Online NVQ assessment means you do not have to travel to our centre.
- Experienced roofers working anywhere in the UK can access this qualification.
- All NVQ documents are available through the E-portfolio.
- Receive your NVQ and apply for your CSCS (CSCS card is not included in the cost of your NVQ).
Duration
On average, it can take candidates between 1 and 3 months to complete their Level 2 NVQ. The duration is very much dependent on the quality of video evidence you supply, as well as your professional discussion.
Funding
A CITB grant is available to companies registered with the Construction Industry Training Board (subject to CITB terms and conditions).
