Delivering standard apprenticeships in roofing occupations and construction technician. 

Eastern Region Roof Training are a Department for Education (DfE) Main apprenticeship provider across East Anglia and London, and currently delivers both pitched and flat roofer apprenticeships, as well as construction support technician.

We have been delivering roofing apprentices with exceptional pass rates for the past 16 years. At Eastern Region Roof Training Group, we strive to ensure that our apprentices are prepared for the industry to a very high standard. We work in partnership with employers to support apprentices to thrive and excel, providing added value so apprentices can be the best version of themselves.

Our state-of-the-art training facility allows us to deliver multiple types of craft and apprenticeship training.  We are fully supported by CITB and Manufacturers.

Our workshops accommodate specialist training in Leadwork, Single Ply, Bituminous, Hot Melt, Blue Roof, Green Roof, GRP’s and Liquid Roofing. We were fully Ofsted inspected in July 2023, and we were graded “GOOD” with elements of “OUTSTANDING”.

Frequently Asked Questions

Apprentices are usually young people, but they can be anyone aged 16+. Apprentices work alongside experienced employees to learn specific skills. As an apprentice, you will receive extensive training (including training towards nationally recognised qualifications such as NVQs). You will also earn a salary and receive paid holiday.

The minimum apprenticeship wage applies to those aged 16-18 and those aged 19 or over in their first year. All other apprentices should be paid the national minimum wage for their age or more.

Many employers are keen to keep their apprentices at the end of their training and try to find appropriate positions for them when the apprenticeship ends. There is no guarantee of a job, but by completing your training, your chances of getting another job are much higher.

Depending on the level, the industry sector and the apprentice’s ability, your apprenticeship could take anywhere between one to four years to complete.

You will gain qualifications through college assignments and work assessments throughout your apprenticeship. A member of staff will regularly meet with you and your employer to:

  • Create an Individual Learning Plan, including work experience and technical knowledge.
  • Check on your progress on all aspects of the qualifications you are working towards
  • Ensure your work experience supports your NVQ assignments
  • Ensure your NVQ assignments are complete and submitted on time
  • Visit our vacancies list above.
  • Look on the National Apprenticeship website, where many vacancies are listed on the Find an Apprenticeship Service.
  • Approach employers who may have vacancies.
