Westbourne Academy students visit Eastern Roof Training

We were delighted to host another group of students from Westbourne Academy recently who had the chance to have a go at some roofing on our training rigs. This scheme, which has seen us deliver these taster days into roofing to over 8 High Schools across Suffolk in recent times, continues to be very popular among students and schools alike.

10 students from Westbourne Academy on this particular day came to Eastern Roof Training, and spent the first part of the session in our classroom looking at basic health & safety for roofers and the second part having a go at roofing. For many, this was the first time they had picked up a hammer or nails and it was great to see them having a go at a new skill.

It is our hope that by continuing to provide the opportunity for school students that are considering their futures to come and have a go at some Roofing in a friendly, training environment, that it will inspire them to take up a career in the Roofing industry once they finish school.
