Phil Houghton Makes UK Team of 3 for IFD 2020

We were delighted to receive notification recently that Phil Houghton, Gold Medalist at World Skills UK 2019, has been selected as one of 2 Roofing Apprentices to train alongside Will Emerton in a bid to make it into the UK’s final 2 that will compete at the IFD competition 2022.

To be selected among the 2 that went forward, Phil attended the NFRC Centre of Excellence, CORE Hereford where he competed against 4 other talented apprentices in an eliminator. Phil displayed fantastic skills & determination and thoroughly deserved his spot in the final 2.

We’d like to wish Phil all the best as he continues his journey as part of the UK team.
